A forensic autopsy was conducted on Ramone Doyle 43, on February 17, 2014. The preliminary opinion received stated that the autopsy findings are “consistent with a cause of death of strangulation.”
The preliminary investigation revealed that Doyle and his roommate Shaun Davis, 25 were involved in an altercation the morning of February 16, 2014 which led Davis to call 911. Motive for the altercation has not been determined.
Detectives from the Macomb Police Department have interviewed Davis and a witness who was present during the altercation. Detectives also interviewed other individuals who were present at the residence earlier that morning. All recorded interviews will be forwarded to the states attorney’s office today to start the review process. The final autopsy report and additional evidence will be forwarded to the states attorney’s office as it becomes available.
